My little girl, my Stinky, is now baptized. She took her public declaration in front of our church family this evening.
I am so proud of her.
After she had dried and changed clothes, we returned to the sanctuary where my little girl was voted into the church as a member. My Stinky is now a member of _____ Community Baptist Church.
I am so proud of her.
I walked her up to the tub to get baptized and video taped the whole thing. I bought her her very own King James Version Bible as a gift. She loved it!
After she had become a member, a friend at church invited her and her family over for dinner. What a joy that is to us! This is just so exciting for me, but I'm trying to keep myself contained. Inside my soul is rejoicing! It is wonderful!
Now we just need to get my baby boy baptized when he's old enough to understand and decide on his own.
I pray that my children never stray from His side. I would love it if you prayed with me for my children. Thanks!

Baptized!
Saturday, August 7, 2010
Last night was a great Girls Night In for me! I had a good friend come over and spend the night with me. We got silly, we danced to NKOTB, we played a few wii games and a couple other fun things. It was very relaxing for us. Well, hopefully it was as relaxing for her as it was for me.
It's nice to be able to slow down every once in a while and just hang out with someone. It is good refreshment for a soul and attitude.
We did not get much sleep, but sleep can be sacrificed for a night for some girly fun. I survived today and that is what I am most afraid of. I am getting too old to skip out on sleep and usually the next day I pay for it. I'm doing ok today though.
It may have a little something to do with taking a nap this afternoon....it wasn't a long nap, but I needed it. After my nap I heard that my step-daughter was coming over for a quick visit. I decided that since I have been so good about keeping up on my housework that I better do a few things today to keep up that appearance. I washed dishes, we picked up the living room and bathroom and we're all grateful that we've been keeping this clean so there wasn't much to do.
Now I am sitting down with a cup of coffee and enjoying the almost quite in my house. Everyone is outside visiting with my step-daughter, except for Kyle who is playing the wii. That is mostly all I hear now. I have a couple books to read and I still haven't been able to do my devotions for the day. I can't forget to do those.
Tomorrow is church and Sunday school. I need to get my lesson all together tonight. We don't have bell practice tomorrow because there are too many people gone. But we are going to our friends' daughter's birthday party in the afternoon. That should be fun. And nummy with a BBQ!
I suppose I should sign out, this post seems to be pretty boring. There is not a whole lot going on.
I do have an issue that I have been giving a lot of thought to lately and I think I have pretty much figured out my solution. Some people will not be happy with my decision, but that is too bad. I need to do what is right for myself and my family. And that means doing things that may anger or hurt others. If you feel like praying for me, that would be greatly appreciated. The Lord knows what my issue is.

Reading on Flag Day
I finished another book today. And what a great book it was!! It was called In the Presence of my Enemies
by Gracia Burnham. What a touching and heartbreaking story. I was crying at the end. I certainly don't want to give any of it a way though. You have to read this for yourself. Especially if you are interested in Missionaries. It's just an incredible book and I give it 5 stars.
Next on my list to read is The Power of a Praying Wife
and along with it The Power of a Praying Wife Prayer and Study Guide

by Stormie Omartian. I loved reading her book The Power of a Praying Parent
. I think praying for my husband is something that I really need to learn how to do correctly, and I need to make myself do it more often.
I got out my Wii board today. I haven't played my Wii Fit
for a while. So I got it out and played it and I have to say, I did quite awesome! I scored 100% on push ups, lunges and the ab exercise. Even though I am not doing much because of my neck, I am not losing that much of my strength. Which is good because I can't afford to!
I am hoping that I will be able to buy the Wii Fit Plus
game soon. It has more options on it and looks like I'd like it better. My friend Jessica has it and I'm going to borrow hers. I also want to try a couple of them other exercise ones for the Wii board. I need to get into better shape than I am. I used to be in much better shape. I have been slacking since the kids have been born and Greg is home all of the time. It can be frustrating to have 2 children in your way and a husband walking by......
The other day, my Uncle Cary was in a motorcycle accident. I am asking for prayers for him. He has numerous fractures and a tear in his leg. Today he under went 2 surgeries I think. If you are the praying type and would like to pray with my family and I, please do. If you would like to stay update on his recovery, please click "Like" at this Facebook page.
Well I think I am ready to sign off for the evening. I have some reading to do!! I just love books.
Next on my list to read is The Power of a Praying Wife
I am also going to try a book that I have really never heard anything about. I think I picked it up at Safeway for $1. It is quite a thick book, it looks like the story is almost 1000 pages. This book might take me a little while longer to read. It's The Pillars of the Earth
by Ken Follett. We'll see if I finish this book or not. I am a little hesitant to read it, but the story sounds good. I'll let you know....
